Tacoma Venues & Events Presents SkillShops Series: Event Safety & Security

Tacoma Venues & Events (TVE) continues its innovative SkillShops series with the upcoming workshop “Event Safety & Security.” Scheduled for October 21 at 11 a.m., this essential session will provide event planners, venue managers, and community leaders with critical knowledge and practical tools to enhance safety at events.

The “Event Safety & Security” SkillShop will feature leading experts in safety and emergency management, including representatives from the Emergency Management Group – Washington, Tacoma Police Department, Tacoma Fire Department, Metro Parks Tacoma, and the Tacoma Dome. Participants will gain insights into key emergency management phases, safety protocols, emergency response strategies, and critical safety measures for both indoor venues and outdoor events.

  • Lt. Johnson, Tacoma Police Department

  • Sgt. Miller, Tacoma Police Department

  • Tieka Adeogun, Chief Emergency Management Officer, Tacoma Fire Department

  • Sean McBroom, Security Manager, Tacoma Dome
